What the hell does "Televangelist" mean?

Returning home today I encountered an old acquaintance, it wasn't the pleasantest of coincidences for so many reasons, but sometimes when you're just about to think that the day is going in the right direction you bump into some idiot and you become infuriated
The idiot here was none other than the infamous Mr.Amr Khaled,
Amr Khaled for those who don’t know him is described by Wikipedia as "a televangelist, activst and a preacher."
Now what exactly does televangelist mean?
A televangelist I believe is one of those I like to call a self-appointed morality leader, he loves to explain how" forced"" inappropriate" religious indoctrination in our lives will magically instill old-fashioned (really really old … we're talking thousands of years old) values and morality in our void and corrupted lives.
I just can't afford to tolerate Mr.Amr's high-pitched voice screaming to me: God did not want you (addressing those who are sad enough to sit and watch this person on TV) to live like this.
There are always those who take it upon themselves to defend God, as if the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe is something weak and helpless.
These people walk by children dressed in rags, living in the street, corrupted officials fabricating the elections or clouds of smokes polluting and poisoning our lungs  and they think "OK, everything is as usual" but if they perceive a slight, a complaint or a frustrated plea against god, it is a different story! Their faces go red, their chests grow mightily, and they scream angrily.
These people fail to realize that it is on the inside that god must be defended, not on the outside.
Amr Khaled: Please Shut up.
